Soulja boy tell em… So last night I had some free time on my hands! Due to Xbox screwing me over and still not sending me back my 360! But what I can I do it’s in their possession huh? Anyway so with nothing to do I did what any normal human being would? I SURFED THE WEB? So as I begin youtubing I saw numerous of funny things such as the RICK ROSS POLICE OFFICER PICS! TOO FUNNY! WOW!! HE LOOKED LIKE CARL WINSLOW FROM FAMILY MATTERS! LOL! anyway as I searched youtube, tons and tons and TONS! OF SOULJA BOY LINKS KEPT POPPING UP. So what the heck I’m bored so I begin to watch Soulja boy’s video’s such as him hanging out with 50..playing Marco Polo with Bow Wow etc.. and then I saw ICE T DISSES SOULJA BOY! WHO? ICE T! WHO? ICE T! NO FOR REAL! WHO THE HELL IS ICE T? I mean I will give somebody 100 dollars out of my pocket? Well nah I’m lien that new MADDEN is about to come out (gamertag: TzduziT) “im taken out all competion this year trust me” but if you can name me 1 just 1! Ice T song besides COLORS and COP KILLER and you can quote an ENTIRE VERSE! YOU ARE ON TOP OF YOUR HIP-HOP GAME!
Let me explain something just because you do something for a long time DOESN’T MAKE YOU LEGENDARY! I REPEAT IT DOESN’T MAKE YOU LEGENDARY! Hell I can sit in my apartment and record albums for 40 years that have had no irrelevance, so am I A LEGEND? Take somebody like BIGGIE he only dropped 2 albums! 2! And he is a legend! IT’S NOT ABOUT QUANITY IT’S ABOUT QUALITY! So as I played the video I heard Ice T complaining about hip-hop in his 1998 ALLEN IVERSON REEBOK JERSEY! (NOW YOU KNOW ICE T IS BALLIN BECAUSE HE HAS TO BE THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD WHO STILL HAVES ONE OF THOSE! LOL!) as he spoke he did have some good points and I DO understand what he was trying to say, he respects artist who go in and put time into their craft! AND I FULLY RESPECT THAT! THAT IS A TRUE FACT! THERE DOES NEED TO BE MORE THOUGHT PLACED INTO HIP-HOP! I AGREE 100 PERCENT! But then you can’t back door it by telling SOULJA BOY TO EAT A DICK!! WHAT? I don’t know about you? but to me those ARE FIGHTING WORDS! LEGEND OR NOT?
For instance when the NBA went to the new dress code policy the younger generation didn’t understand it and they thought of it as an attack from the older players on their generation When it wasn’t? The older generation was just shedding light and giving insight to the younger players letting them know that it’s about more then basketball and eventually the younger players adapted. BUT COULD YOU IMAGINE WHAT LEBRON JAMES’ REACTION WOULD HAVE BEEN IF BILL RUSSELL TOLD EM “WEAR A SUITE YOUNG MAN! AND OH YEAH EAT A DICK?” ALL HELL WOULD OF BROKE LOOSE! LOL! With age there is supposed to come wisdom and Ice T’s choice of words was far from WISE! So I scrolled down the page and there I saw SOULJA BOY RESPONDS TO ICE T! and at first Soulja was responding in a CHILDISH but HILLARIOUS WAY? What do you expect he is 17 years old! But as he continued to speak you can see the sincerity in words, if HIP-HOP is an entity of freedom of speech and creation? SOULJA BOY IS THE DEFINITION OF HIP HOP! YEAH I SAID IT! Here is a kid that came from nothing..produced his own beats….and created a song that was EMBRACED BY THE ENTIRE WORLD! HELL THAT’S THE HIP-HOP DREAM! SHOW ME AN UP AND COMING MC THAT DOESN’T SHARE THAT SAME VISION? IS HE LYRICAL? NO! BUT HE’S 17! HELL I WASN’T LYRICAL AT 17! (WAIT A MINUTE I WAS BUT IM DIFFERENT! LOL!)
but truthfully what is he supposed to be rappin about AID’S IN AFRICA? VOTE FOR OBAMA? OR MAYBE HE SHOULD BE ON THE BLOCK SELLIN CRACK? Nah he kept it real! IN HIGHSCHOOL WE TALKED ABOUT ALOT OF STUPID THINGS THAT WHERE IRRELEVANT SUCH AS: BOOTY MEAT! AND THROWS SOME D’S ON MY REPORT CARD! The problem with HIP-HOP lies when you have 30 year old men rapping about nothing of irrelevance! CHINGY! This whole Hip-Hop has died campaign has just became a front for being a hater! The sad part this doesn’t happen in any other genre of music! You don’t have Leann Rhymes saying Taylor Swift ain’t real country or Madonna telling Hannah Montana to EAT A DICK! It only happens in hip-hop! Personally I much rather Soulja Boy be making rubberband necklaces then BREAKING INTO MY HOUSE! LOOK IS SOULJA BOY A LEGEND! NO? WILL HE BE AROUND IN 2 YEARS PROBABLY NOT? But do not hate on a kid who is living a dream! It’s not fair and it's down right in-human! The only reason Soulja Boy has become the cover child for this HIP-HOP is dead era is for the simple fact HE IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL! AND HE IS EVERYWHERE YOU GO! THEREFORE THE HATE STARTS TO SET IN! and you begin thinking “I STAY IN THE STUDIO FOR HOURS? AND HE SCREAMS YAHH TRICK!” AND HE IS MAKING MILLIONS!!
BUT THE POINT IS, IF YOU’RE A REAL EMCEE THE MONEY DOESN’T MATTER IN THE FIRST PLACE! YOU RYHME FOR POOR OR BROKE! BUT THAT’S ONLY IF YOU’RE A REAL EMCEE ! and there ain’t too many of them around. There lies the true problem with hip-hop! THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT SUB CATAGORIES IN THE GENRE OF HIP-HOP! And all of these are needed to make the world of hip-hop complete. If SOULJA BOY doesn’t have any meaning to your life! That doesn’t mean he is not hip-hop! It just means he is not for you! PLAIN and SIMPLE! SO THE NEXT TIME YOU TURN ON A TV AND YOU SEE BEN STILLER, to TOM CRUSIE to RANDY MOSS CRANKING THEIR SUPERMAN!! AND THE HATE FOR SOULJA BOY STARTS TO SET IN! JUST RELAX, TAKE A DEEP BREATHE! AND EAT A DICK! HATER! YAHHHH!
